Job summary

ADVANCE TECH AUTOMATION PTE LTD is seeking a Production Planner to plan and manage daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders and forecasts. You will ensure targets, delivery schedules and output requirements are achieved, while monitoring progress, WIP, downtime and productivity.

You will allocate manpower, machines and resources, supervise supervisory staff, identify bottlenecks, coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse, work with QA/QC, track costs, and implement process

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily/weekly production schedules based on customer orders and forecasts.
• Ensure production targets, delivery schedules and output requirements are achieved.
• Monitor production progress, WIP, output, rejection, downtime and productivity.
• Allocate manpower, machines and resources according to production priorities.
• Supervise Production Supervisors, Leaders, Operators and other production staff.
• Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective action to prevent delays.
• Coordinate with Purchasing/Procurement to ensure materials and components are available.
• Coordinate with Warehouse/Inventory on material issuance, stock availability and finished goods.
• Work with QA/QC to resolve quality issues, defects and customer complaints.
• Monitor machine utilization and coordinate preventive maintenance or breakdown repairs.
• Control production costs, overtime, wastage, scrap and material usage.
• Ensure production follows BOM, Work Order, SOP, drawings and customer specifications.
• Maintain accurate production records and prepare daily/weekly/monthly production reports.
• Conduct production meetings and report production status, shortages, delays and risks to management.
• Implement process improvements to increase productivity, efficiency and quality.
• Ensure workplace safety, housekeeping and compliance with company procedures.
• Train, guide and evaluate production employees.
• Support new product introduction, production trials and process changes when required.
