Job summary

FintruX Network is seeking an hands-on Infrastructure Support Engineer to maintain and secure our production environment, including Windows and Linux servers, networks, databases and cloud services. You will monitor systems, manage backups, and coordinate with vendors when specialist support is needed.

Preference for candidates who can write automation scripts and support existing business applications; this is an infrastructure/production-support role, not software development.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT, CS, CE or related field.
• At least three years of infrastructure support or production systems experience.
• Hands-on experience administering Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Working knowledge of Linux server administration.
• Experience supporting networks, DNS, DHCP, firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, user administration.
• Familiarity with SQL Server administration, backups and troubleshooting.
• Ability to diagnose problems across servers, networks, databases and user environments.
• Strong documentation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of problems through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, patch and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
• Support production, staging, testing, development, backup and disaster-recovery environments.
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, domain controllers, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, user accounts and security groups.
• Maintain IIS, web servers, app services and security certificates.
• Monitor server availability, capacity, performance, logs and security alerts.
• Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, routers, switches, DNS, connectivity and VPNs.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online and Teams.
• Support employee computers, software, endpoint protection and remote access.
• Monitor SQL Server databases, backups, jobs, permissions and storage.
• Respond to system alerts and incidents; diagnose origin and restore services.
• Document resolutions and participate in disaster-recovery testing.
• Maintain infrastructure diagrams, runbooks and change-control procedures.
