Job summary

FINTRUX PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Infrastructure Support Engineer to maintain servers, networks, databases and cloud services. You will ensure security, reliability and availability for employees and customers, administering Windows and Linux servers, troubleshooting VPNs, backups and vendor coordination.

The role emphasizes infrastructure and production support over software development, with scripting and automation preferred to streamline operations and tasks.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least three years of relevant infrastructure support experience.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Working knowledge of Linux server administration.
• Experience with networks, DNS, DHCP, firewalls and VPNs.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Entra ID and access control.
• Experience with SQL Server administration, backups and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, patch management and system monitoring.
• Ability to diagnose across servers, networks, databases and user environments.
• Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, patch and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
• Support production, staging, testing, development and disaster-recovery environments.
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and access permissions.
• Maintain IIS, web services, and security certificates.
• Monitor server availability, performance, logs, and security alerts.
• Configure firewalls, routers, switches, DNS and VPNs.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online and Teams as applicable.
• Support employee devices and endpoint protection.
• Monitor SQL Server databases, backups and jobs.
• Respond promptly to incidents and diagnose root causes.
• Restore services safely and document resolutions for prevention.
• Apply patches and changes per change-control procedures.
• Maintain runbooks, diagrams and recovery procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors for complex issues.
