Job summary

Luxoft Singapore is seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer to join our Software Engineering Group. You will provide L2/L3 application support for production systems, ensuring high availability and rapid incident resolution.

You will work with Unix/Linux, SQL, Grafana/ELK, MQ/Kafka, and CI/CD, participate in on-call rotations, and drive improvements to monitoring and operational processes to sustain business-critical applications.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, or a similar L2/L3 role.
• Strong hands-on experience working with Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Strong hands-on SQL skills, including query writing, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
• Proven experience supporting business-critical applications in production environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience working with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and ELK.
• Exposure to messaging technologies such as MQ or Kafka.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and release support activities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production support environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 application support for production systems, ensuring high availability and operational stability.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application, system, and data-related issues.
• Perform incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis for production incidents.
• Execute SQL queries to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and support business investigations.
• Utilize Unix/Linux environments for monitoring, diagnostics, log analysis, automation, and operational support activities.
• Monitor application health using tools such as Grafana, ELK, MQ/Kafka, and related monitoring platforms.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to drive timely issue resolution.
• Support deployment activities, release validation, and production readiness processes.
• Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Participate in on-call or production support rotations as required.
