Job summary

YTL Data Centers in Singapore is seeking a Pre-Sales Solution Architect to act as the primary technical consultant in the sales process for regional colocation services. You will bridge commercial objectives and technical delivery, advising enterprise and hyperscale clients.

You will design bespoke space, power, and cooling architectures for HPC/AI deployments, collaborating with regional delivery and engineering teams to meet complex customer requirements across markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Design, Solutions or Technical Consulting, with at least 2 years in Data Center colocation or hyperscale infra.
• Deep technical knowledge of data center M&E infrastructure (UPS, backup gen, chillers, liquid cooling, CRAH/CRAC).
• Strong familiarity with SEA data center landscape, regulations, and connectivity.
• Excellent ability to translate complex facility concepts into business value for technical IT directors and commercial executives.

Responsibilities

• Technical Discovery & Scoping: Lead technical engagements to understand IT deployment roadmaps, power density, and cooling needs.
• Bespoke Solution Design: Architect tailored colocation solutions focusing on space, power distribution to rack level, and advanced cooling.
• AI & High-Density Optimisation: Advise on deploying high-density hardware with liquid cooling (Direct-to-Chip).
• Technical Proposal & RFP Management: Own the technical narrative for complex RFPs, RFIs, RFQs with clear compliance and PUE/WUE metrics.
• Commercial Alignment: Work with Sales/Marketing to ensure technical solutions are viable and aligned with capacity plans.
• Cross-Border Collaboration: Liaise between Singapore commercial teams and Malaysia delivery teams.
• Site Tours & Evangelism: Lead technical site tours of YTL facilities for client engineering teams.
