Job summary

PhoenixAI, formerly CelerData, seeks a Database Support Engineer to drive onboarding, deployment, adoption, and long-term customer success for our Agentic Database in a customer-facing post-sales role.

You will be the technical lead after sale, ensuring value realization, handling production issues, and supporting expansion opportunities, while collaborating with sales and product teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a post-sales and/or pre-sales role such as solutions engineering, technical consulting or customer success engineering.
• Hands-on experience of OLAP workloads, query optimization, and data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema).
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Familiar with at least one of the public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Communication skills: distilling complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
• Sales & customer success mindset with track record of technical wins and revenue growth.
• Bonus: knowledge of BI tools (Tableau, Looker) and streaming systems (Kafka, Redpanda).

Responsibilities

• Onboarding, deployment, and driving adoption post-sale for the Agentic Database.
• Ongoing technical point of contact, resolving issues and identifying expansion opportunities.
• Build trusted relationships with customer technical stakeholders across business problems and constraints.
• Monitor technical health, troubleshoot production issues, and recommend architecture/configuration improvements.
• Relay patterns and pain points to product/engineering teams.
• Maintain evaluations—use cases, PoC plans, and outcomes for process improvements.
• Collaborate with sales to align technical discussions with business goals and help close deals.
• Support presales with PoCs when bandwidth requires it.
