Job summary

Mechvel Engineering Singapore is seeking a diligent Quantity Surveyor to manage tendering, prepare bills of quantities, cost estimates and project budgets for M&E projects.

You will oversee cost control, handle claims and variations, and administer contracts across pre- and post-contract duties, liaising with consultants, architects, developers and contractors to certify payments and settle final accounts.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in a relevant engineering or construction-related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant QS experience in M&E projects (Singapore).
• Experience in both pre-contract and post-contract duties.
• Familiar with cost control, claims, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender and contract documents including bills of quantities, cost estimates, and budgeting.
• Conduct price comparisons and prepare detailed costing summaries.
• Monitor project costs, track variations, and ensure cost control throughout the project.
• Prepare and submit progress claims, assess progress payments, and handle final accounts.
• Liaise with consultants, architects, developers, and contractors on claims certification and project matters.
