Job summary

OCBC Bank is seeking an Application Analyst to lead the Payment team and manage critical applications including interbank transfers and FAST/PayNow. You will oversee daily IT operations, coordinate across IT and business stakeholders, and drive automation and DR readiness.

The role requires strong Java, SQL, Kafka, Kubernetes/Docker, OpenShift, IBM MQ, Redis, Grafana, Kibana skills, plus Agile and Git experience. Collaboration and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• This role requires a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• At least 10 years of software development experience, preferably in banking/FS.
• Strong technical stack knowledge: Java, SQL, Kafka, Kubernetes, OpenShift, IBM MQ, Redis.
• Experience with Agile, Git, DevOps and SRE principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support and understand application architecture and interfaces.
• Oversee day-to-day IT operations and production issue resolution.
• Analyze monitoring data, perform impact analysis and propose workarounds.
• Lead DR simulations to ensure RTO adherence and recovery readiness.
• Define monitoring requirements and preemptively detect anomalies.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for critical apps.
• Ensure compliance with technology security standards and address vulnerabilities.
