Job summary

National University Hospital is seeking a patient service assistant to deliver friendly, efficient service and create a welcoming atmosphere for patients and visitors. You will support registration, screening, billing, and appointment coordination, while upholding NUH service standards and ensuring data accuracy.

You will engage patients with kiosks and the NUHS mobile app, and be prepared to rotate across clinics to maintain smooth operations and excellent patient experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum "N" level holder with relevant healthcare experience.
• Healthcare or service or related industry is preferred.
• Proficient in computer skills.
• Teamplayer with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Incredible care for patients.
• Practice NUH Service Acts - "G.O.O.D" to enquiries from patients and/or NOK.
• Ensure compliance to SOC Operations Standards.
• Handle patient feedback and ensure timely escalation to Service Team Leader / Service Executive whenever necessary.
• Counter assistant; Perform registration and screening of patients with accuracy and no data breach.
• Ensure accurate billing and timely collection of payment on the same day.
• Ensure clinic readiness including waiting area and self-service kiosks.
• Assist clinicians and/or therapists for a smooth clinic consultation; coordinate first/follow-up appointments.
• Manage wait times and keep patients updated; monitor EPIC workqueue.
• Be ready for deployment across all clinics; Engage patients on kiosks and NUHS mobile app.
• Adhere to clinic/department and hospital policies/procedures (SOP).
• Participate in quality improvement projects.
