Job summary

The National Library Board invites a part-time, two-year contract role to support the National Archives of Singapore in declassifying official government files. Review files, highlight sensitive content, and collaborate with government agencies and NAS internal teams to streamline declassification processes.

You will also handle public request processing, perform data analytics on request data, and may serve as Secretariat when needed.

Qualifications

2-5 years of working experience, preferably in public service and/or history, information science or registry background.
Mature with good judgement and ability to analyze and assess situations strategically.
Strong team player with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Integrity and ability to discern and protect sensitive information.
Good command of English and communication skills (writing and speaking).

Responsibilities

Review Government Files: identify sensitive content during declassification.
Process and facilitate public requests to access files.
Stakeholder Management: liaise with External Government Agencies and internal divisions (NAS, IT) to improve processes.
Data Analytics: perform regular analyses and reporting on public requests data.
Perform secretariat duties if assigned.
