Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte Ltd, located in Central, Singapore, is seeking a research-oriented candidate for a 6-month role at an hourly rate of SGD 22. The position focuses on supporting archival policy improvements, workflows, and data-driven insights.

You will develop research frameworks, monitor trends in archives and information management, and collaborate with external stakeholders to advance digital humanities initiatives.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with and passion for archives, cultural heritage, history and/or media/information.

Responsibilities

• Support research and pilot projects aimed at improving archival policies, workflows, systems and services.
• Develop research frameworks and conduct quantitative and qualitative research to support project outcomes.
• Research and monitor emerging developments and trends within the archives, cultural heritage and information management space.
• Identify potential opportunities for collaboration with external stakeholders, including areas such as digital humanities.
• Support the design and evaluation of archival indexing, search and discovery systems, including demonstration or sandbox environments.
• Develop or implement simple scripts, tools or technical solutions to improve the efficiency of archival processes.
• Assist with the documentation and analysis of data assets, metadata, system usage, workflows and existing processes.
• Support process reviews and improvements relating to the management and accessibility of archival collections.
• Prepare research findings, documentation and reports for relevant stakeholders.
