Job summary

Shangri-La Hotel Singapore is seeking an Origin Bar Waiter/Waitress to join our hospitality team. You will deliver personalized service to guests, welcome them, present menus, take orders and ensure timely beverage delivery.

Maintain knowledge of cocktails and promotions, work with bar and kitchen teams for smooth operations, uphold food safety and hygiene, process guest bills, and help with set-up and closing. A passion for hospitality and teamwork is essential.

We are looking for an Origin Bar Waiter/Waitress to join our team!

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional and personalized service to guests in accordance with Shangri-La service standards.
• Welcome guests warmly, present menus and provide recommendations on food and beverage selections.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely delivery to guests.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, cocktails, spirits, wines and promotions to confidently assist guests.
• Ensure tables, bar seating areas and service stations are properly prepared and maintained throughout service.
• Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly to requests and enquiries.
• Process guest bills accurately and handle payment transactions in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Assist in setting up and closing the outlet, including stocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Work closely with the bar and kitchen teams to ensure smooth operations and an excellent guest experience.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, workplace safety and company policies and procedures at all times.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a hotel, bar, lounge, restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Previous experience in a cocktail bar or upscale dining establishment will be an advantage.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service practices; knowledge of cocktails and spirits is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
