Job summary

Ambition Singapore seeks an Oracle HCM Data Migration Consultant to support HR system implementation across APAC, focusing on migrating employee data into Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM.

You will load, map, transform and validate data using HDL/HSDL, troubleshoot issues and ensure accuracy end-to-end in migration cycles.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in HR technology implementation or data migration.
• Hands-on experience preparing, uploading and managing employee data via HDL.
• Familiarity with Oracle HCM data structures and worker-employment relationships.
• Ability to investigate data import issues and apply fixes with minimal supervision.
• Strong Excel skills for large datasets, mapping and conversion.

Our client is a growing HR technology consulting firm specialising in enterprise HR transformation and digital solutions. They partner with organisations across Asia Pacific to modernise HR systems, streamline processes and deliver technology-enabled workforce solutions.

About the Role

They are looking for an Oracle HCM Data Migration Consultant to support HR system implementation projects, with a focus on transferring employee data from legacy systems into Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM. This role is suited for someone with hands-on experience in data loading, troubleshooting and validation, who takes ownership of data accuracy throughout the migration process.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute data loads using Oracle HCM Data Loader (HDL) and HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL) across relevant HCM modules.
• Map source data fields to Oracle HCM structures, including data transformation, code conversion and data cleansing.
• Investigate data load errors, identify root causes and implement corrective actions independently.
• Perform data reconciliation and validation across migration cycles to ensure data completeness, accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain data mapping documents, migration logs, error resolution records and reconciliation reports.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, technical teams and client stakeholders to support migration activities and production cutover.
• Communicate data issues and validation requirements clearly to client teams and business users.

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience in HR technology implementation or data migration, preferably within Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM projects.
• Practical experience preparing, uploading and managing employee data through Oracle HCM Data Loader (HDL).
• Familiarity with Oracle HCM's employee data structure and the relationships between worker records, employment details and assignments.
• Ability to investigate data import issues, interpret system error reports and implement appropriate fixes with minimal supervision.
• Strong Excel skills, particularly in handling large datasets, data cleansing, field mapping and data conversion.
• Experience conducting data quality checks and reconciling migrated records against source data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Good documentation and organisational skills, with the ability to maintain clear records of migration activities, testing results and issue resolutions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with functional consultants, technical teams and client stakeholders.
• Exposure to data migration from other HR platforms, such as Workday, PeopleSoft or Oracle E-Business Suite, would be beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or Python for data manipulation and validation would be an added advantage.
• Relevant Oracle HCM training or professional certifications would be advantageous.
