Qualifications

• At least an O Level or Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma; maritime qualifications preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; ability to analyse data and generate reports.
• Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin and English for internal and external interactions.
• Demonstrated operations management experience in freight forwarding.
• Strong leadership abilities to manage a team and drive results.

Responsibilities

Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimise our company's operations. As the Operations Manager, you will manage a team of Operations Executives with Customer Service team and ensure the smooth and efficient execution of daily operational activities. This position's primary objectives will be to enhance operational efficiency and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Operations Executives, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
• Liaise with local and overseas customers to ensure timely booking confirmations and address any inquiries or concerns.
• Oversee the issuance of tax invoices and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Resolve B/L (Bill of Lading) issues with customers and carriers, ensuring smooth cargo handling and delivery.
• Coordinate trucking and other services with local vendors to ensure timely and efficient operations.
• Manage the suppliers and vendors of Airfreight and Sea freight operations, ensuring effective partnerships and optimal service levels.
• Coordinate and execute cross-trade business activities with other countries, supporting the expansion of our Singapore business.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and maintain proper administrative records.
• Support network and agent business by providing timely quotes and information as required.
• Foster a customer-centric culture within the team, ensuring excellent service and satisfaction.

Job Requirements

• At least an 'O' Level, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in any field is required. Maritime-related qualifications are preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to analyse data and generate reports.
• Able to communicate effectively in both Mandarin and English for internal group-wide and external customer interactions; proficient in both written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated experience in operations management, in the freight forwarding industry.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively and drive results.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Possess a good attitude, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
