Job summary

SHOPEE SINGAPORE PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a student intern to support the Operations team. You will analyze business performance, consolidate key operational metrics, and assist in generating periodic reports for management review.

You will collect data from databases, create integrated views to drive decision making, and participate in resolving process inefficiencies in shipments and customer escalations. A strong analytical mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree/master in Business Analytics, CS, IS or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/ PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SQL and Python is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Job description

The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

Job Description:

• Evaluate business performances and internal processes for improvements to achieve operational and financial goals
• Assist in consolidating and reviewing key operational performances and generating periodic performance reports for management review
• Collect data from databases to create integrated views to drive decision making
• Involvement in specific operational processes like problem shipment parcels and escalated customer complains, so as to find opportunities to improve process efficiencies and effectiveness

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree/master in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems or other relevant disciplines.
• Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/ Powerpoint
• Knowledge of SQL & Python is a plus
• Strong oral and written communication skills
