Job summary

BAYSWATER SHIPPING & FORWARDING PTE. LTD. is seeking an Operations Assistant to support cargo bookings and logistics coordination at Jurong Port, Singapore.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum GCE O Level, be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook, and demonstrate strong follow-up and teamwork. Overtime availability and a Singapore Class 3 driving licence are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
• Able to work overtime when required.
• Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage cargo shipment bookings and coordinate logistics operations
• Verify documentation requirements with relevant parties (e.g. insurance, licences, customs forms, PM4 applications)
• Prepare shipping documents such as: Cargo Manifest, Bill of Lading, Cargo Clearance Permits (Import / Export /Transshipment)
• Generate Delivery Orders, Shipping Orders, Works Orders
• Liaise with stakeholders on: Cargo conditions and movements
• Liaise with stakeholders on: Equipment needs (containers, trailers, low-beds, lorries)
• Handle berth bookings
• Perform administrative duties (filing, photocopying, record keeping)
• Prepare and submit reports required by regulatory agencies
