Job summary

Bayswater Shipping and Forwarding is seeking an Operations Assistant to support shipping and freight forwarding tasks at Jurong Port, Singapore. You will manage cargo shipment bookings, coordinate logistics, and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.

The role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, good follow-up and coordination skills, and flexibility to work overtime when needed. A Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Must have attention to detail and be able to coordinate shipments.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Able to work overtime when required.
• Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage cargo shipment bookings and coordinate logistics operations
• Verify documentation requirements with relevant parties (e.g. insurance, licences, customs forms, PM4 applications)
• Prepare shipping documents such as: Cargo Manifest, Bill of Lading, Cargo Clearance Permits (Import / Export /Transshipment)
• Generate Delivery Orders, Shipping Orders, Works Orders
• Liaise with stakeholders on: Cargo conditions and movements, Equipment needs (containers, trailers, low-beds, lorries)
• Handle berth bookings
• Perform administrative duties (filing, photocopying, record keeping)
• Prepare and submit reports required by regulatory agencies
