Job summary

SDTR MARINE PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a capable Operations Coordinator to manage end-to-end ship logistics, liaising with agents and insurers to ensure smooth shipments. You will prepare instructions and support Chartering with data verification, while optimizing costs and profits.

The role requires English and Mandarin proficiency, a mindset to resolve issues independently, and strong planning skills to handle legal matters and coordinating with management on technical ship issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum University Degree with 1–2 years of relevant working experience.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin languages.
• Proficient in handling of legal cases.
• Hard working and flexible in work timing as per requirement.
• Possess good planning and organizing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide and monitor entire operations through liaising with agents, masters, bunker suppliers, ocean route companies, vessel brokers and insurers.
• Prepare documentary instructions and assist Chartering Desk to verify information.
• Maintain operational optimization to maximize profits and minimize losses or costs.
• Calculate Freight/Hire, laytime, Demurrage and Despatch incurred.
• Check and update operations data in the system for analysis and reporting.
• Involve handling and settlement of legal cases with Insurers and Lawyers.
• Coordinate with Management Department to resolve ships' technical issues.
• Any other duties as assigned.

• Prepare all relevant documentary instructions to various counterparties, andassist Chartering Desk to check and verify the information requested.
• Maintain operational optimization to add value to maximize profits and minimizelosses or costs.
• Calculate Freight/Hire and any laytime; and Demurrage/Despatch incurred.
