Job summary

DXC Technology is launching a Graduate Industry Traineeship (GRIT) and seeking an Onsite Engineer Trainee to support end-user technologies and workplace services. The role provides hands-on exposure to hardware, software, and IT service management in an enterprise setting.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant IT degree, demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills, and can work independently or in teams.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Customer-focused with good verbal and written communication.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop hardware and peripherals.
Provide onsite technical support for hardware, software, and OS issues.
Troubleshoot basic network connectivity, email, VPN, and app access.
Assist with user provisioning, passwords, and access management.
Support software installations, patches, and system updates.
Support asset management, imaging, and deployment of devices.
Document issues and resolutions in ticketing systems; assist daily service desk operations.
Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and application support teams.
