Job summary

DXC Technology invites applications for a Junior Software Engineer trainee to develop technical skills and contribute to real-world projects within enterprise software environments. Trainees may receive opportunities for advancement after successful completion of the six-month program.

Candidates should be recent graduates (2024–2026) with a Diploma or Bachelor0s in CS/IT/SE, and a strong foundation in Java, databases, and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor0s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or graduate 2024d2026.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Foundational knowledge of Java programming.
• Exposure to cloud technologies and platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and modern software development practices.
• Interest in AI-driven software development and emerging technologies.
• Adaptable and able to thrive in fast-paced environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support development, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise software applications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and execute unit tests using appropriate frameworks.
• Perform system integration testing and troubleshoot issues.
• Support UAT activities and defect resolution.
• Assist with deployment, release, and change management.
• Support system audits, vulnerability assessments, and security testing.
• Create, update, and maintain technical and system documentation.
• Collaborate with team members using Agile and modern software practices.
• Learn and apply emerging technologies including cloud platforms and AI-enabled tools.
