Job summary

YYForce is seeking a Robotics Engineer, Perception to enable our humanoid robots to understand real-world environments in hospitality settings. You will develop computer-vision capabilities for object and person detection, tracking, segmentation and scene understanding, and integrate perception outputs with manipulation and navigation to drive reliable robot actions on onboard or edge computers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a robotics-related field.
• Strong knowledge of computer vision, deep learning and image processing fundamentals.
• Experience with object detection, segmentation, tracking, pose estimation or 3D vision.
• Proficiency in Python or C++.
• Experience with OpenCV and PyTorch.

Responsibilities

• Develop computer-vision capabilities for object and person detection, tracking, segmentation and pose estimation.
• Build RGB-D and 3D-perception pipelines for scene understanding and robotic manipulation.
• Select suitable camera hardware, integrate it with the existing robot stack and maintain the perception system.
• Integrate perception outputs with manipulation, navigation and other robot capabilities.
• Optimize perception pipelines for reliable real-time operation on onboard or edge computers.
• Test and improve perception reliability on physical robots under real-world operating conditions.
