Job summary

YYForce is building intelligent humanoid and service robots for real-world hospitality deployment. We are seeking a Robotics Software Engineer, Autonomy Systems to connect hardware, intelligence and applications, and to define interfaces for reliable, field-ready robotics software.

You will integrate modules, implement task planning concepts and develop tools for deploying, monitoring and improving robots in production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related field.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python.
• Experience developing or integrating software for robotic or embedded systems.
• Experience with ROS or ROS 2 and distributed software systems.
• Understanding of software architecture, APIs, concurrency and inter-process communication.
• Ability to diagnose complex system-level issues involving both hardware and software.
• Comfortable working hands-on with physical robots.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the software architecture connecting perception, manipulation, navigation, interaction and task execution.
• Develop reusable interfaces, services and hardware abstraction layers across different robot platforms.
• Integrate sensors, actuators, robot SDKs and third-party software into the robotics stack.
• Build task orchestration, state management, error handling and recovery mechanisms.
• Explore agentic task planning for high-level robot orchestration.
• Build tools for configuration, logging, monitoring, diagnostics and remote support.
• Improve system performance, reliability and maintainability through testing on physical robots.
• Support robot deployment and troubleshoot issues across hardware and software boundaries.
• Work closely with manipulation, perception, navigation and embodied AI engineers.
