Job summary

BW Offshore Singapore is seeking a Project Subcontracts Lead to manage end-to-end subcontracting for FPSO/offshore projects. The role requires leading tender processes, planning, and commercial governance across multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic execution environment.

You will mentor the Subcontracts team, administer complex subcontracts, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and cost controls to ensure milestones and cost targets are achieved through execution and close-out.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, law, commerce, business administration, quantity surveying, construction management or related.
• Master's degree in a relevant/complementary discipline is advantageous.
• CIPS/RICS or equivalent certifications look favourably.
• Minimum ten years in subcontracting, contracts/commercial management in oil & gas/offshore.
• At least three years supervising subcontracting professionals on capital projects.
• Proven track record administering complex subcontracts through tender to close-out (FPSO/offshore).
• Experience leading tender processes for project execution scopes.
• Experience with subcontract variation management, time extensions and claims.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end subcontracting for defined scopes within the execution phase (FPSO, offshore).
• Develop tender strategies and subcontracts execution plans with cross-discipline coordination.
• Mentor Subcontracts staff and oversee quality during execution.
• Prepare ITT packages with scope of work, BOQ, milestones, HSSE and terms.
• Lead techno-commercial tender evaluations and award presentations.
• Administer awarded subcontracts: issue correspondence, chair meetings, manage variations and invoices.
• Identify and manage subcontract commercial risks and risk registers.
• Monitor subcontract performance through KPIs and regular progress reviews.
• Lead negotiations on variations and time extension requests.
• Ensure close-out, final accounts and retention release at project end.
• Coordinate with Delivery Management, Project Services/Controls and Finance for cost reporting.
• Support internal/external audits related to Subcontracts.
