Job summary

BW Offshore Limited is seeking a Subcontracts Department Manager to lead the global subcontracts team across FPSO, conversion, and integration projects. You will develop contracting strategies, manage the full lifecycle, and ensure compliance with contract terms and company policies.

The role requires 15+ years in offshore contracts, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of LOGIC, FIDIC, BIMCO, and NEC forms.

Qualifications

Requires 15+ years in contracts, subcontracts, or commercial management in offshore oil and gas.
Experience with FPSO, FLNG, or complex EPCI/EPCIC projects.
Leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary commercial teams on large capital projects.

Responsibilities

Lead the Subcontracts department across FPSO construction, conversion, and integration projects.
Define and own subcontract strategy, policy framework, and SOPs for all project subcontracting activities.
Develop contracting strategies for major packages (hull, topsides, marine, mooring, T&I, offshore services).
Oversee the full subcontract lifecycle: prequalification, tender, evaluation, clarification, negotiation, award.
Manage contract administration, ensuring compliance with obligations, notices, and change management.
Oversee changes, variations, claims, and dispute resolution per authority levels and terms.
Monitor subcontractor performance against KPIs and quality standards; initiate corrective actions.
Provide oversight of Quantity Surveying for measurement, valuation, cost management across projects.
Lead, develop, and mentor the Subcontracts team and allocate resources across projects.
Ensure compliance with delegated authorities, local content, anti-bribery, and ethical standards.
