Job summary

Talent Trader Group is seeking an experienced pre-sales professional to lead technical activities for data centre and infrastructure solutions. You will provide expert guidance across networking, storage, compute, virtualization and security, and work closely with customers to translate requirements into robust architectures.

You will drive discovery, solution design and BOM creation for large-scale opportunities, collaborate with Sales, and mentor junior pre-sales specialists.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 4–6 years in technical pre-sales, solution architecture or similar customer-facing role.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, wireless and network security.
• Extensive experience in compute, storage, virtualization, HCI and HPC environments.
• Experience designing and positioning enterprise or data centre infrastructure solutions.
• Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, including HPC and related technologies, is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical pre-sales activities for active infrastructure and data centre solutions.

• Develop and review Bills of Materials (BOM) based on customer requirements.

• Work with Sales to identify opportunities and develop technically sound solutions.
• Coordinate validation, POC activities and vendor support as required.
• Lead and mentor pre-sales specialists with technical guidance and support.
• Support large-scale, multi-country projects involving multiple technology disciplines.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends and competitive solutions.
• Ensure proposed solutions meet scalability, performance, security and reliability requirements.

• Manage and support relationships with technology vendors and solution partners.
• Coordinate technical validation, proof-of-concept activities and vendor support where required.
• Lead and mentor pre-sales specialists, providing technical guidance and support.
• Support large-scale and multi-country projects involving multiple technology disciplines.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends and competitive solutions.
• Ensure proposed solutions meet requirements for scalability, performance, security and reliability.
• Contribute to technical standards, solution frameworks and best practices.
• Ad hoc duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 4 - 6 years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture or a similar customer-facing role, preferably with experience supporting complex or large-scale data centre, cloud, or hyperscale environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of routing, switching, wireless and network security.
• Strong knowledge of compute, storage, virtualization, HCI and HPC solutions.
• Experience designing and positioning enterprise or data centre infrastructure solutions.
• Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, including HPC, networking, data centre and related technologies, is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel when required.
