Job summary

National University Health System Pte. Ltd. (NUHS) is seeking a Laboratory Support Staff to handle specimen reception, processing, and basic testing. The role supports timely, accurate laboratory services for internal and external customers within a busy hospital setting.

You will operate the LIS, manage specimen movement, and assist in daily laboratory operations while maintaining quality and safety standards. Shift work includes day, afternoon, and night rotations to meet service needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science (or related) is required.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and MS Office is expected.

Responsibilities

• Handle specimen reception and processing as per SOPs.
• Operate LIS for receipt, result entry, and enquiries.
• Maintain accurate specimen tracking and timely distribution.
• Perform basic rapid testing and monitor quality controls.
• Support inventory and equipment maintenance, and report issues.
