Working Hours & Schedule
This full-time position requires adherence to the following weekly schedule (all times include a 1-hour lunch break):
- Mondays & Wednesdays: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Tuesdays & Thursdays: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Fridays: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Rest Days: Off on Saturdays, Sundays, and all gazetted public holidays.
Core Responsibilities
You will work closely with the school's ICT team, Info-Comm club, and Aesthetics department to manage all multi‑media systems and operations.
1. AV, Lighting & Event Media Production
- Event Production: Provide on-site and off‑site audio, visual, lighting, and media controls for assemblies, mass celebrations, performing arts productions, and major school events.
- Content Creation: Handle active school videography and photography, including professional editing and creation of video packages.
- Exam Operations: Setup and implement audio‑visual operations for national and internal examinations (e.g., Listening Comprehension tests).
2. Technical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- First‑Line Support: Solve immediate hardware or system errors for staff and students experiencing faulty projectors, visualizers, hall audio, or library systems.
- Equipment Upkeep: Clean parts, conduct routine health checks, schedule preventive servicing, and evaluate the overall safety and usability of fixed electronics.
- Device Configuration: Assist the ICT Manager and Desktop Engineers with peripheral configurations across Chromecasts, iPads, laptops, Personal Learning Devices (PLDs), and network printers.
3. Training, Mentorship & Inventory Administration
- Student Training: Direct and mentor Info‑Comm Club students in photography and basic sound mixing console operations.
- Staff Guidance: Teach staff and student tech representatives how to safely connect and basic‑troubleshoot daily classroom AV tools.
- Asset Management: Systematically document device loans, update damage logs, complete inventory tagging, and organize asset lists within the internal ICT management portal.
Job Requirements
- Experience: Relevant background in audio‑visual (AV) operations, live sound production, or asset inventory tracking. Prior experience working within a Singapore school environment is highly preferred.
- Physical Fitness: Capability to lift, move, and carry heavy media gear safely across the campus.
- Language Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Key Traits: Strong collaborative mindset to work hand‑in‑hand with desktop engineers, alongside a natural ability to guide and mentor young adolescents patiently.
