Job summary

GAIN EMPLOYMENT SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking an ICT and AV Support Staff to provide onsite and offsite lighting, audio, visual and media support for school-wide events. You will train students in AV operations and assist staff with AV troubleshooting and maintenance.

The role involves coordinating with ICT team, managing AV equipment, and ensuring smooth operation during examinations and activities. Strong English communication and physical task ability are required.

Qualifications

• Preferably with some relevant working experience in a school environment.
• Experience managing AV & Media equipment.
• Ability to perform job-related physical tasks.
• Ability to train and mentor students in AV & Media programmes.
• Good verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and offsite lighting, audio, visual and media support for school events.
• Conduct training for students in AV operations and related activities.
• Train staff and ICT representatives on AV setup and troubleshooting.
• Assist AV operations during internal and external examinations.
• Troubleshoot AV equipment and perform maintenance tasks.
• Support procurement, installation, servicing, and repairs of AV equipment.
• Loan AV equipment to staff and students and maintain inventory records.

Working Hours

• Mon&Wed: 7:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Tue&Thurs: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Fri: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
• All the working hours listed above include 1 hour lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Scope of Services

1.ICT and AV & Media Support Services

• To provide onsite and offsite lighting, audio, visual and media support for school-wide events and activities (e.g. the Aesthetics production, assembly programmes, mass celebrations, performing arts performances, and other events hosted by school). Media services include videography, photography, creation/editing of videos etc. based on school's needs.
• To conduct training for students in AV operations, photography and other AV and media related programmes and activities in Info-Comm club.
• To conduct training for staff and student ICT representatives on set-up and troubleshooting of AV & Media equipment (e.g. projectors, visualisers, hall/theatrette/library/AV systems, Chromecasts, iPads, laptops, PLDs, printers, copiers etc.).
• To assist inset-up and implementation of internal and external national examinations' AV operations (e.g. listening comprehension etc.)
• To assist ICT Manager and Desktop Engineers in troubleshooting of AV & Media equipment (e.g. projectors, visualisers, hall/theatrette/library/AV systems, Chromecasts, iPads, laptops, PLDs, printers, copiers etc.) related issues for staff and students.
• To perform any further AV & Media related roles and responsibilities assigned by ICT Manager/Admin Manager/HOD ICT/School Leaders.

2.Troubleshooting & Maintenance Services

• To provide technical support for staff and students when AV & Media equipment (e.g. projectors, visualisers, hall/theatrette/library/AV systems) do not function properly.
• To schedule and perform maintenance and assess usability of AV & Media equipment (e.g. projectors, visualisers, hall/theatrette/library/AV systems)
• To conduct routine inspection, cleaning of equipment parts and checking of functionality of fixed AV & Media equipment (e.g. projectors, visualisers, hall/theatrette/library/AV systems)

3.Administrative Services

• To support ICT Manager/Admin Manager/HOD ICT in procurement, installation, servicing, and repairs of AV & Media equipment.
• To facilitate loan of AV & Media equipment (e.g. projectors, visualisers, iPads, laptops, PLDs etc.) to staff and students for school programmes and activities.
• To perform proper documentation and authorisation for loan of AV & Media equipment (e.g. projectors, visualisers, iPads, laptops, PLDs etc.).
• To regularly update equipment loans, maintenance/damage reports, machine logs, inventory tagging, categorisation of AV Media equipment functionality in ICT asset management and inventory system.

Qualifications, skills and experience

• Preferably with some relevant working experience in school environment
• Possesses relevant experience in AV & Media equipment management, maintenance, and inventory management.
• Ability to perform job-related physical tasks.
• Ability to work well with and support the ICT team (ICT Manager and Desktop Engineers).
• Ability to train, guide and mentor students in AV & Media related programmes and activities.
• Possesses good verbal and written communication skills in English.
