Job summary

The British Club in Singapore seeks a Marketing Communications professional to oversee digital content for internal and external marketing, update the website, and support email tools. You will craft articles, support social media with photography and video, and collaborate with the Graphics team on magazine and promotional materials.

Strong English, proofreading, and multitasking are required, with experience in hospitality or club settings considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Marketing Communications with 2+ years in a similar role.
• Excellent English, proofreading and editing skills.
• Competent in website design and maintenance.
• Knowledge of media production and dissemination techniques.

Responsibilities

• Update the Club website with latest news and events.
• Generate creative ideas for social media, with eye for photography and short videos.
• Write, edit and proofread Club articles for magazine and weekly newsletter.
• Cover major events in the magazine and online; coordinate with contributors.
• Collaborate with Graphics team on layout, colours, schedules and production.
• Ensure featured information in each magazine issue; collate copy and photos.
• Assist in producing the Annual Report.
• Work with managers on promotional materials to ensure brand consistency.
• Maintain the Club’s photo library and facilitate photography for events.
• Organise promotional materials such as banners and notices.

Job description

You will assist in overseeing the digital communication for internal and external marketing, support with website updates, digital platforms and email tools of the Club and carry out an active marketing plan that will support both the Marketing objectives of the Club.

Responsibilities

• Update the website with the latest news and events in the Club.
• Bring creative ideas for the Club’s social media platforms and having an eye for photography and short videos.
• Write, edit and proofread all Club’s articles, e.g. monthly magazine and weekly newsletter.
• Proactive in finding out the Club’s major events for the month and ensure they are covered in the Club magazine and online.
• Work closely with the Graphics team on the layout designs, colours, schedules and production of the magazine, other literature and brochures.
• Ensure sufficient and relevant information is featured in the appropriate issue of the magazine and to work with contributors, convenors and departments to collate copy and photos for each issue.
• Assist in the production of the Annual Report.
• Work with respective Managers on the concept of all promotional materials, Production of the materials to ensure consistency in the design and brand of the Club.
• Maintain and manage the Club’s photo library.
• Facilitate photography for major Club events.
• Organise promotional materials such as banners and notices.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Marketing Communications with at least 2 years' experience in a similar capacity or creative role. Previous work experience in the hospitality industry and Club experience would be an added advantage
• Possess excellent command of English, proof reading and editing skills
• Competent in website design and maintenance
• Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods
• Able to understand and interpret materials well
• Go-getter with an eye for detail and a meticulous mind, coupled with superb multi-tasking skills
• Excellent attention to detail and results oriented
