Job summary

DIRECT SEARCH ASIA PTE. LTD. is seeking a detail-oriented Document Controller to support Marine EPC and offshore projects. You will maintain project documentation, control revisions, and coordinate submissions across internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

The role requires 2–3 years of document control experience, preferably in marine or EPC settings, and proficiency with Excel and Word. A Diploma or Degree in a related discipline is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of relevant document control experience.
• Experience in Marine/Shipbuilding/Offshore/EPC environments preferred.
• Familiarity with document registers, transmittals, revision control, and filing procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proactive and comfortable coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Register, track, distribute, and maintain project documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain document registers, transmittals, revision records, and document status trackers.
• Handle engineering drawings, specifications, reports, vendor documents, correspondence, and project records.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing document submissions between internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor document review and approval status and follow up on outstanding submissions.
• Ensure only the latest approved documents are circulated and superseded revisions are properly controlled.
• Assist with vendor and subcontractor document submissions and tracking.
• Maintain electronic and hard-copy filing systems and ensure document traceability.
• Prepare basic document status reports and updates for the project team.
• Support project close-out, as-built documentation, and handover activities.
• Assist with document audits and other project administration duties when required.
