Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of experience in marine operations, purchasing, procurement, ship supplies or logistics.
• Good understanding of purchasing processes, quotations, purchase orders and delivery coordination.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day marine operational activities and respond promptly to vessel and customer requirements.
• Source marine equipment, spare parts, stores and services from approved suppliers.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations based on price, quality, availability and delivery schedules.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure the necessary approvals are obtained.
• Coordinate deliveries with suppliers, vessels, agents, logistics providers and other stakeholders.
• Monitor order status and ensure goods and services are delivered within the required timeframe.
• Verify delivery orders, invoices and supporting documents against purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory and operational records.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment planning.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and service providers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery arrangements where required.
• Resolve delivery delays, supply discrepancies and other operational issues.
• Support vendor evaluation and maintain an updated supplier database.
• Assist with cost monitoring and identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency.
• Ensure purchasing and operational activities comply with company procedures and safety requirements.
• Provide administrative and coordination support to the operations team as required.
