Job summary

Direct Search Global in Singapore is seeking an experienced Purchaser / Operations Coordinator to support procurement and day-to-day operations within the marine and ship supply sector. You will manage customer enquiries, coordinate supplier purchases, prepare commercial documentation, and ensure timely delivery of goods to vessels.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in procurement or operations in maritime settings, strong communication and multitasking, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in maritime studies, supply chain, logistics or related.
• 3–5 years in procurement or operations within maritime industry.
• Experience in ship chandling or marine procurement preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries and provide operational support.
• Prepare quotations, purchase orders, delivery orders and invoices.
• Source products and liaise with suppliers on pricing and availability.
• Coordinate procurement activities to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor orders from purchase to delivery and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records of orders and supplier information.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order execution.
• Participate in team meetings and share operational updates.
• Take on ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
