Job summary

PepsiCo Deutschland GmbH in Singapore seeks a Manufacturing Operator (Salts) to execute production plans, operate equipment, and maintain quality, safety and efficiency in daily operations.

You will handle raw materials, perform changeovers, sanitation, 5S and GMP adherence, and support Kaizen culture while using SAP for process orders and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Operate processing/packaging equipment per SOPs.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation following GMP.
• Check materials meet specs for processing.
• Prepare raw materials per plan and specs.
• Move raw materials and batch concentrate; operate forklifts as needed.
• Perform product and package changeovers.
• Use SAP for process orders, goods receipts and inventory.
• Operate systems manually or with basic process automation.
• Follow safety practices and dust collection system requirements.
• Perform basic equipment care, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Conduct 5S and routine cleaning in assigned areas.
• Adhere to GMP, waste reduction, and Kaizen culture.
• Update Visual Management Board and maintain records.
• Ensure Health & Safety site compliance.

Job description

Overview

The Manufacturing Operator (Salts) role is responsible for executing production plan, task and operate the assigned equipment, inclusive of supporting achievement of production objectives with required standard on product quality, production process and safety.

The selected candidate should have a basic working knowledge to support processing and packaging of finished concentrates that is optimally produced to meet safety and quality specifications.

Responsibilities

What you will be responsible for:

1. Operate assigned processing and/or packaging equipment according to the standardized operating procedures, guides and manual
2. Render correct cleaning and sanitation of processing equipment following Good Manufacturing practices
3. Conduct checking and inspection of materials to ensure it meets specifications for processing and production of salts and dry part concentrates
4. Prepare raw materials according to the plan and quality specifications
5. Move raw materials and batch concentrate from staging area to processing area. This may require driving fork trucks and/or motorized and manual pallet stacker
6. Perform product and package change over
7. Perform SAP applications for transacting process order, good receipt and inventory
8. Operate the system manually or with the aid of basic process automation
9. Follow safe operation of dust collection system along with other Safety precautions and Safety criteria
10. Perform Basic Equipment Care, troubleshooting and maintenance of the assigned machine to minimize inefficiency
11. Perform 5S, routine cleaning for responsible areas
12. Practice and adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), OE Eight (8) wastes and Continuous improvement (Kaizen) culture
13. Perform Visual Management Board update, recording and documentation and maintenance of necessary operational records
14. Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Site System and ensure that a high standard of Health and Safety is always adhered to on site
15. Any other ad Hoc duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

What you will need to have:

Education or Professional Certifications

• NITEC Certification or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 3 years of technical experience in food and beverage industry would be preferred
• Basic working knowledge in production operations
• Knowledge and job skills

Technical Competencies

• Working knowledge of processing and packaging equipment
• Basic troubleshooting experience
• Basic Equipment Care experience
• Basic Computer skills – Email, Word, Excel
• Knowledge of SAP applications an advantage
• Knowledge of er5S concept and execution an advantage
