Job summary

A global clean-mobility technology leader is seeking to hire an industrial engineer in Singapore. The ideal candidate will provide engineering support, lead cost and productivity initiatives, and communicate effectively with clients in Mandarin. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant engineering field and offers a dynamic work environment focused on sustainable mobility solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
• Able to communicate with Chinese-speaking clients in Mandarin Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Provide industrial engineering support in layout planning and process/material flow.
• Lead productivity and cost-improvement initiatives and supervise work groups.
• Conduct cost estimations for new products and maintain process documentation.
• Coordinate with product teams to implement resource-optimizing solutions.
• Perform time-and-motion studies and drive LEAN improvements.
• Plan and set up new manufacturing lines and track CAPEX for line setups.
• Execute Value Stream Mapping and support cost and quality enhancement projects.

Work location: AMK

Working schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Provide industrial engineering support in layout planning, WSIs, routing, and process/material flow.
• Lead productivity and cost‑improvement initiatives and supervise assigned work groups.
• Conduct cost estimations for new products and maintain process documentation and standards.
• Coordinate with product teams to implement resource‑optimizing solutions.
• Perform time‑and‑motion studies, identify bottlenecks, and drive LEAN improvements.
• Plan and set up new manufacturing lines, support NPIs and ECOs, and track CAPEX for line setups.
• Execute Value Stream Mapping and support cost and quality enhancement projects.

Key Requirements

• Min. Degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related fields.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, project management, and teamwork skills.
• Able to communicate with Chinese‑speaking clients in Mandarin Chinese.
