Job summary

A leading insurance firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced finance professional to oversee financial reporting and lead a team. This role requires a degree in Accounting or Finance, with a preference for Chartered Accountants. Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

  • Oversee timely and accurate preparation of statutory and regulatory reports in compliance with MAS and IFRS 17 standards.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes including external audit support.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and assist in liaising with external auditors, MAS, and other relevant authorities.
  • Monitor changes in MAS regulations and guidelines, and lead implementation of reporting changes accordingly.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals; foster a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with actuarial, risk, compliance, and business units.
  • Support the CFO in strategic projects, including automation, transformation, and system enhancements.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a key finance contact for auditors, regulators, and senior management.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and business strategy.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
Other Information

Experience:

  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, ideally within the insurance sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of MAS regulatory requirements and IFRS 17.
  • Experience in leading finance teams and managing complex projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
