Job summary

Ministry of Defence of Singapore is seeking a capable administrator to manage infrastructure, finance and logistics support for the Engineer Training Institute (ETI). You will lead and marshal Service Support Groups (SSGs), deploying personnel to Training Schools and Centres to support training where required.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in logistics, finance, contracts or training roles, are organised, and possess strong interpersonal skills to lead a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage staff through work planning and performance reviews.
• Ensure infrastructure, finance and logistics audits are prepared and addressed.
• Oversee upkeep of infrastructure through regular inspections.
• Process and submit end-to-end finance transactions accurately.
• Oversee purchase requests, orders and goods received safeguarding funds.
• Manage controlled and general equipment, coordinating PM/CM.
• Ensure logistics for courses and ICTs are met, including trainee processing.
• Manage loan processes and routine logistics tasks such as laundry and indents.
• Coordinate multiple responsibilities to ensure timely, policy-compliant execution.

What The Role Is

You are responsible for managing and providing infrastructure, finance and logistics support to the Engineer Training Institute (ETI). You will lead and manage the Service Support Groups (SSGs), deploying personnel to the Training Schools and Centres to support training where necessary.

What You Will Be Working On

• Lead and manage staff through work planning, delegation, and regular performance reviews for regulars and Full-time National Servicemen (NSFs) under your charge
• Ensure the training institute is prepared for annual infrastructure and logistics audits, including remedial actions following audit findings
• Oversee the upkeep of all infrastructure through regular inspections
• Ensure timely and accurate processing and submission of all end-to-end finance transactions
• Maintain oversight of all purchase requests, orders and goods received to ensure prudent and guideline-aligned usage of funds
• Manage and account for all controlled equipment (CE) and general equipment (GE), including raising requests for preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM)
• Ensure logistics requirements for all courses and In-Camp Trainings (ICTs) are met, including managing the in-processing and out-processing of course trainees and Operationally Ready National Servicemen (NSmen)
• Oversee the end-to-end loan process, coordinate routine logistics matters such as laundry schedules and indents Challenge(s)
• Managing a wide scope of concurrent responsibilities across infrastructure, finance and logistics while maintaining oversight of all ongoing tasks to ensure they are processed in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with relevant policies

What We Are Looking For

• Education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in logistics, finance, contracts, and/or training-related positions is required
• Organised and meticulous, with the ability to track and manage multiple concurrent processes
• Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to lead a varied group of staff
