in Singapore is seeking an experienced Airfreight Operations Manager to oversee daily airfreight activities, including export, import, transshipment, consolidation and shipment coordination. You will lead a team of operations staff to ensure timely, cost-efficient delivery, manage end-to-end processes from booking to customs clearance, coordinate with airlines and partners, monitor KPIs and drive service quality improvements while controlling costs and ensuring regulatory

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily airfreight operations, including export, import, transshipment, consolidation and shipment coordination.
• Lead a team of airfreight operations staff to ensure smooth, timely and cost-effective shipment execution.
• Manage end-to-end airfreight processes from booking, cargo collection and documentation to customs clearance and final delivery.
• Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, ground handlers, customs agents and overseas offices/agents to ensure timely shipment movement.
• Negotiate and maintain competitive air freight rates, space allocation and service agreements with airlines and other service providers.
• Monitor shipment schedules, capacity, transit times and service performance, and proactively resolve delays, damages, discrepancies and operational issues.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their logistics requirements and providing appropriate airfreight solutions.
• Monitor operational costs, revenue, margins and overall profitability, ensuring business targets are achieved.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service quality and cost savings across the airfreight operation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, aviation regulations, customs requirements and international trade standards.
• Work closely with sales, customer service, warehouse, trucking and overseas offices to ensure seamless end-to-end logistics solutions.
• Prepare and analyse operational and financial reports, KPIs and performance metrics for management review.
• Support business development activities by identifying opportunities to grow airfreight volumes and expand key customer accounts.
