Job summary

MIE-TECH ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD is seeking an experienced M&E Manager to oversee mechanical and electrical works on building projects in Singapore. You will plan, coordinate, supervise site activities, ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery while coordinating with project teams and authorities.

The role requires a degree or diploma in relevant engineering, 5 years of M&E management experience in Singapore, and proficiency in reading M&E drawings.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in M&E management for building construction projects in Singapore.
• Proven experience in managing M&E installation works, subcontractors and site coordination.
• Good knowledge of Singapore building regulations, relevant codes of practice and statutory requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings, technical specifications and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and coordinate all mechanical and electrical works from project commencement through installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Supervise M&E engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, consultants, architects, C&S engineers and other project teams.
• Review M&E drawings, shop drawings, technical submissions, method statements and material specifications.
• Monitor project schedules, manpower, materials and installation progress to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure all M&E installations comply with approved drawings, contract specifications, applicable Singapore regulations and authority requirements.
• Coordinate electrical distribution, ACMV/HVAC, plumbing and sanitary, fire protection and other building services installations.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, design clashes and site coordination problems.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with project quality standards and workplace safety requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing and commissioning, defects rectification and final project handover.
• Monitor M&E project costs, subcontractor claims, variation orders and procurement requirements.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular progress reports to management.
• Liaise with relevant authorities, consultants, clients and subcontractors on technical matters and project approvals.

We are seeking an experienced and competent M&E Manager to oversee and manage Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works for building construction projects in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, technical coordination, site supervision, quality control, safety compliance, and the timely completion of all M&E works.

Key Responsibilities

Job Requirements

4. Good knowledge of Singapore building regulations, relevant codes of practice and statutory requirements.

5. Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings, technical specifications and construction documents.

6. Experience in project planning, progress monitoring, quality control, testing and commissioning.

7. Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM/Revit will be an advantage.

8. Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

9. Able to work independently and manage multiple project requirements effectively.

10. Candidates with experience in residential, commercial, institutional or other major building construction projects will have an advantage.
