Job summary

China Communications Construction Company Limited (Singapore Branch) seeks an experienced Assistant/M&E Manager to lead and oversee M&E works for a new residential project in Singapore. You will manage project execution, coordinate with architects, consultants, the main contractor, and authorities to deliver compliant M&E installations on time.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, monitoring progress and safety, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring proper documentation and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services engineering.
• At least 8 years of M&E project management experience on high-rise residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, ACMV, electrical distribution, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary, ELV, and building automation.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Proficient with MS Office; AutoCAD and BIM coordination advantageous.

• Manage and supervise M&E subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
• Review and verify progress claims, variation orders, procurement schedules, and material submissions.
• Oversee inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E systems.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and maintenance records.

Job description

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant/M&E Manager to lead and oversee mechanical and electrical works for our new residential project. The role involves managing project execution, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality M&E installations in accordance with project requirements and timelines.

Work Location: new project in the Central area, with temporary stationing near Clementi.

Job Responsibilities

• Review M&E drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate M&E works with architects, consultants, the main contractor, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.
• Monitor project progress, work quality, safety, and costs to ensure timely project delivery.
• Ensure all M&E installations comply with Singapore codes, statutory regulations, and project specifications.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, design conflicts, and site coordination matters.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and site staff.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience managing M&E works for high-rise residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, ACMV, electrical distribution, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary, ELV, and building automation systems.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software. Experience with AutoCAD and BIM coordination will be an advantage.
