What the role is

MANAGER / DEPUTY / ASSISTANT MANAGER, INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT

What you will be working on

Are you excited by the opportunity to shape the future of land transport? Do you thrive in environments where your ability to connect dots, influence stakeholders and drive change that makes a real impact? We are looking for a dynamic and strategic professional to join our team in a role that is as stimulating as it is purpose-driven. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering programmes that create real impact in the land transport sector. The role offers a rare opportunity to engage industry leaders, collaborate across teams and gain exposure to senior decision-makers — positioning you to influence thinking and build credibility at the highest levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curate and shape thought leadership content for LTA’s flagship international land transport event, Singapore Urban Mobility Week, by developing compelling event themes, identifying strategic hot-button topics, and engaging senior management and global thought leaders to co-create a high-impact programme and panel discussions.
  • Develop and implement strategic industry programmes and transformation initiatives by working with internal domain experts and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, design impactful schemes and mobilise support for sector-wide change.
  • Engage and influence a wide network of stakeholders, including senior leadership, industry players, global experts and government agencies, to shape initiatives and secure buy-in and support.
  • Navegate organisational complexity to gain alignment across functions and departments, ensuring initiatives reflect both internal priorities and external industry needs.
  • Monitor emerging trends and industry developments to identify new opportunities, inspire transformation efforts and inform the design of future programmes.
What we are looking for
  • Knowledge in Business, Engineering, Marketing or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience in strategy, business development, transformation programmes, public policy or related roles.
  • Strong track record in navigating complex organisations and aligning diverse stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience working with senior management and external partners.
  • Creative, strategic thinker with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous and fast-evolving environments — you ask the right questions, test assumptions and figure things out.
  • Strong situational awareness and analytical skills; able to synthesise information from different sources and develop clear, actionable strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and timelines, often involving multiple stakeholders and moving parts.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated, resourceful and able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Well-versed in relevant Generative-AI tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Prior experience in public policy, transport, consulting, innovation or corporate strategy would be advantageous.
  • Experience working across sectors (e.g. public-private partnerships, cross-agency programmes, industry engagement) is a plus.
As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment.
