Job summary

Ministry of Defence of Singapore invites applications for a role overseeing logistics, finance, and facilities support for the SAF Medical Training Institute (SMTI). You will lead the Log section staff, coordinate audits, and ensure efficient processing of procurement and financial transactions.

The role demands strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with forward planning to sustain TI operations and training activities. Placement will reflect experience and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Finance is preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in logistics, finance, medical, and/or training-related positions.
• Organised and meticulous.
• Ability to keep track of multiple ongoing processes concurrently.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to lead a varied group of permanent staff.
• Ability to conduct forward planning and ensure system discipline in routine procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage permanent staff within the Log section, including SSGs, through work planning and performance reviews.
• Ensure TI is prepared for annual infrastructure and logistics audits, including remedial actions after audit findings.
• Provide updates to senior management.
• Maintain upkeep of infrastructure through regular inspections and liaise with IFM for maintenance.
• Ensure timely processing and submission of end-to-end finance transactions within the TI.
• Maintain oversight of all purchase requests, orders and goods received.
• Ensure TI is prepared for annual finance audits and manage TI projects and contracts as required.
• Manage TI controlled equipment and general equipment.
• Ensure logistics requirements for all TI courses and ICTs are met, including trainee processing.
• Coordinate laundry schedules, indents and tracking of finance and procurement items.
• Manage TI-owned platforms and training facilities and ES.
