Job summary

The GMP Group in Singapore is seeking a skilled Logistics and Internal Sales Coordinator to join our Singapore operations. You will manage end-to-end shipments across sea, air, and land, coordinate with freight forwarders, and optimise carrier performance.

You will act as the operational point of contact for internal sales affiliates, monitor orders, flag supply constraints, and maintain accurate records for reporting to stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with Incoterms and regulatory

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• 5 years' experience in freight, logistics coordination, or trade ops.
• Familiar with Incoterms 2020; knowledge of marine cargo insurance and claims handling.

Responsibilities

• Book and coordinate end-to-end shipments with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and carriers across sea, air, and land modes.
• Negotiate freight rates and service terms; benchmark against market to ensure cost competitiveness.
• Track shipments and resolve delays, discrepancies, or issues with urgency.
• Lead carrier selection by evaluating vendors on cost, transit time, reliability, and compliance; maintain an approved carrier list.
• Ensure adherence to Incoterms, customs requirements, and current regulations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve complex cargo claims.
• Internal Sales Coordination — Affiliate Management: act as operational contact for internal sales affiliates, manage order intake and fulfilment workflows.
• Monitor orders and purchases across affiliates; flag supply constraints and prepare status reports.

Responsibilities

Logistics— Shipment Booking & Freight Management

• Book and coordinate end-to-end shipments with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and carriers across sea, air, and land modes


• Negotiate freight rates and service terms; regularly benchmark against the market to ensure maximum cost competitiveness


• Track shipments proactively and resolve transit delays, discrepancies, or any issues with a high sense of urgency


• Lead the carrier selection process by evaluating vendors against defined criteria covering cost, transit time, reliability, and compliance; maintain an approved carrier list and review it periodically


• Ensure full adherence to applicable international trade regulations, customs requirements, and current Incoterms


• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to follow up and successfully resolve complex cargo claims

Internal Sales Coordination — Affiliate Management

• Serve as the dedicated operational point of contact for internal sales affiliates, managing order intake and fulfilment workflows


• Monitor sales orders and purchase orders across affiliates; identify demand patterns and proactively flag any supply constraints


• Maintain highly accurate and up-to-date records; prepare regular reports on order status, shipment progress, and any open issues for internal stakeholders


• Work closely with affiliates to streamline order processing workflows and ensure


• PO discrepancies are identified and resolved accurately and on time


• Perform any other ad-hoc operational duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.


• 5 years of experience in freight, logistics coordination, or trade operations.


• Familiar with Incoterms 2020, and understand marine cargo insurance and claims handling.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP (HANA) / SAP Business One system would be an added advantage
