Job summary

GMP RECRUITMENT SERVICES (S) PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator in Singapore to coordinate shipment bookings across sea, air and land, negotiate freight rates, and ensure timely delivery. You will monitor shipments end-to-end, resolve delays and claims, evaluate carriers on cost, transit time and compliance, and support internal sales affiliates with order fulfilment.

Located in Alexandra, occasional travel may be required for overseas business trips.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in logistics or related field with 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of marine cargo insurance, claims handling, and Incoterms 2020; SAP experience advantageous.

• Coordinate shipment bookings across sea, air, and land with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and carriers.
• Negotiate competitive freight rates and service terms.
• Monitor shipments end-to-end and resolve delays and cargo issues; coordinate with relevant parties on claims.

Job description

• Coordinate shipment bookings across sea, air, and land modes with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and carriers, while negotiating competitive freight rates and service terms.

• Monitor shipments end-to-end, proactively resolve delays and cargo issues, and coordinate with relevant parties on complex claims.

• Evaluate and select carriers based on cost, transit time, reliability, and compliance, while maintaining an approved carrier list and ensuring adherence to trade regulations, customs requirements, and Incoterms.

• Manage order intake and fulfilment coordination for internal sales affiliates, monitor sales and purchase orders, identify supply constraints, and resolve PO discrepancies promptly.

• Maintain accurate shipment and order records, prepare regular status reports for stakeholders, and support management with ad hoc logistics and coordination duties.

Requirement:

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline, with 5–8 years of relevant experience in freight, logistics coordination, or trade operations.

• Strong knowledge of marine cargo insurance, claims handling, and Incoterms 2020; SAP HANA/SAP Business One experience is advantageous.
