Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services seeks a technical lead to drive automation, digitalization, and innovation across manufacturing and business processes. You will lead complex engineering projects and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, reliability, and productivity.

You will provide advanced technical expertise, coach engineers, and ensure compliance with GMP, cybersecurity, and engineering standards while delivering sustainable improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering or automation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA/HMI platforms and automated manufacturing systems.
• Proven experience leading engineering projects and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Knowledge of GMP/GAMP requirements and computerized system validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation and digitalization initiatives from concept to commissioning and handover.
• Develop, maintain, and improve PLC, SCADA, HMI, MES, and related automation applications.
• Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting, investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Validation, and IT to deliver sustainable improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance equipment reliability, productivity, and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, quality, cybersecurity, and standards.
• Provide coaching and technical guidance to engineers, technicians, and stakeholders.
