Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services Singapore Pte Ltd seeks a Technical Lead in Automation to drive transformative improvements across manufacturing and business processes through automation, digitalization, and innovation initiatives.

You will lead complex engineering projects, provide advanced technical expertise, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, reliability, and productivity.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering or automation experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with PLCs, SCADA/HMI platforms, industrial communication protocols, and automated manufacturing systems.
Demonstrated experience leading engineering projects and troubleshooting complex technical issues.

Responsibilities

Support development and execution of the site automation and innovation roadmap.
Lead automation, digitalization, and process optimization projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
Develop, maintain, and improve PLC, SCADA, HMI, MES, and related automation applications.
Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting, investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Validation, and IT functions to deliver sustainable improvements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve equipment reliability, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, quality, cybersecurity, and engineering standards.
Provide coaching, training, and technical guidance to engineers, technicians, and stakeholders.
