Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Automation Engineer to lead transformative automation and digitalization across manufacturing.

The role drives safety, quality, and productivity through complex projects, coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Validation, and IT to deliver sustainable improvements. You will design and optimize PLC/SCADA/HMI/MES applications, mentor engineers, and ensure GMP and cybersecurity standards are met while advancing digital transformation

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Electrical/Automation/Mechatronics or related field.
5+ years of automation engineering experience in manufacturing.
Experience with PLC, SCADA/HMI, and automated manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

Lead site automation and innovation roadmap development.
Manage automation projects from concept to commissioning.
Develop and maintain PLC/SCADA/HMI/MES applications.
Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting and CAPAs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
