Job summary

NEWTONE CONSULTING PTE. LTD. seeks a Level 3 Application Support Analyst to support production apps across Front, Middle, and Back Office within Supply Chain Finance.

You will bridge Level 2 support and development teams, drive incident resolution, RCA, and change management in a high-availability banking environment. Responsibilities include collaborating with analysts, BA, and developers to propose fixes, prioritizing tickets with stakeholders, and guiding automated improvements.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in IT or Computer Science or related field.
• Strong ability to bridge business/operations and IT and to perform functional analysis.
• Experience with large-scale web apps, APIs and REST integrations.
• Familiarity with XML, SWIFT, EDIFACT, ISO20022 data formats.

Responsibilities

• Support Level 2 teams to identify root causes of production issues and propose fixes.
• Collaborate with BA, technical support and development for RCA and fix proposals.
• Prioritize problem tickets with product owners and scope releases.
• Analyze incident patterns to implement permanent solutions and reduce recurrence.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive manual tasks.
• Monitor application performance and coordinate with Level 2 teams on optimization.
• Support production releases and post-go-live monitoring and validation.
• Perform complex data fixes following Change Management processes.
• Ensure compliance with policies and security standards.
• Contribute to technical design reviews and solution design for new requirements.

Job description

A global financial institution is seeking a Level 3 Application Support Analyst to support production applications across Front, Middle, and Back Office functions within the Supply Chain Finance domain. This role acts as the technical bridge between Level 2 support and development teams, driving incident resolution, root cause analysis, and problem management in a high-availability banking environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support Level 2 teams in identifying root causes of production issues and proposing workaround, interim, or permanent fixes
• Collaborate with business analysts, technical support, and development teams to complete RCA and fix proposals
• Work with product owners and stakeholders to prioritize problem tickets and scope releases
• Analyze incident/service request patterns to implement permanent solutions and reduce recurrence
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive manual tasks
• Monitor application performance and coordinate with Level 2 teams on optimization efforts
• Support production releases and go-live activities, including user sanity checks, sign-off, and post-go-live monitoring
• Perform complex data fixes requiring manual intervention, following formal Change Management processes
• Ensure strict adherence to organizational policies and compliance standards
• Contribute to technical design reviews and support solution design for new business requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Graduate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Up to 10 years of total IT experience, with 4-5+ years specifically in IT Support Analyst roles; prior experience as a developer, technical designer, or similar technical role is a plus
• Strong functional and business analysis skills, with the ability to bridge business/operations and IT
• Functional experience in Supply Chain, Trade Finance, or Electronic Invoicing applications preferred
• Familiarity with data formats/standards: XML, SWIFT, EDIFACT, ISO20022
• Experience with functional solution design for large-scale web applications and microservices, including APIs and REST integrations
• Understanding of security concepts: SSL/TLS, PKI, certificates, and authentication solutions
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux, job schedulers (Crontab, Autosys, Quartz), and tools such as ServiceNow, SharePoint, and JIRA
• Hands-on experience with RDBMS (Oracle), SQL/PL-SQL
• Working experience in production support, incident analysis, and RCA documentation
• Experience with Java/J2EE, middleware (WebSphere/WebLogic), Spring/Spring Boot, and front-end frameworks (Angular, Bootstrap)
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall SDLC environments involving multiple stakeholders
