Job summary

KRIS INFOTECH PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced DBA to administer PostgreSQL and Sybase databases in a production environment, focusing on security and reliability. You will manage HA/DR configurations, deployments, and troubleshooting while aligning with ITIL processes.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of DBA experience, a technical degree in IT/CS, and strong analytical and documentation skills to support enterprise-scale systems in a financial-like production setting.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of PostgreSQL/Sybase DBA experience in administration and management of IT Database technologies.
• Bachelor's/ Master's/ engineering graduate or equivalent in IT or CS.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage database servers and processes.
• Define, implement and enforce database security policies for data security solutions.
• Provide HA/DR options and ensure high availability for PostgreSQL/Sybase.
• Deploy, upgrade and troubleshoot PostgreSQL/Sybase technology solutions.
• Work in production/run mode and in a process-driven environment.

Job description

Job Description:

• 6-8 years of PostgreSQL/Sybase DBA experience in administration and management of IT Database technologies.
• Should be a bachelors/masters/engineering graduate or equivalent technical degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• Knowledge of different domains of IT Security.
• Working & hands-on experience in administering the DB technologies.
• Must have experience in working in similar Production setup in Run (Operations) mode.
• Ability to apply risk based approach while working on assigned responsibilities.
• Experience in defining, implementing, and enforcing Database Security policies for data security solutions.
• Must have working experience in a Large enterprise level environment, working experience in financial organization is preferred.
• Excellent in analytical, communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to organize work and be able to priories work as per the needs of Production Operation’s needs.
• Must have strong understanding of ITIL processes and comfortable working in process oriented environment.
• Ability to work independently and as well as a part of team and is able to work under minimal supervision.
• Should have time management skills and able to manage work in fast moving environment.

Requirements:

Technical:

• Hands-on experience on Configure and maintain database servers and processes.
• Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for PostgreSQL/Sybase technology.
• Deployment, integration and administration experience of various components of DB technologies.
• Must have experience in defining, designing and configuring Database solution as per the business requirements.
• Deploy, upgrade and troubleshooting knowledge on PostgreSQL/Sybase technology solution.
• Scripting knowledge (Python,TSQL,shell scripting ) is desirable.

Professional Certifications:

• PostgreSQL/Sybase certified is highly preferred.
• Cloud ceritification.
