Job summary

ITCONNECTUS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage Sybase ASE, PostgreSQL, and replication services. You will back up and restore databases, tune performance, and handle incident resolution in a production environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with installations, patches, clustering, and OS-level DB tasks, supporting a diverse IT landscape with high availability requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have strong technical knowledge in Sybase ASE, Replication server and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with production server environments and database maintenance.
• Handled installations, upgrades and patching for Sybase and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Must have strong technical knowledge in Sybase ASE, Replication server and PostgreSQL.
• Backup and restore of databases.
• Tuning databases and application queries and perform server access/login management.
• Performance tuning, troubleshooting, and resolving database integrity issues.
• Experience to Production Server Environment.
• Should have handled database installations, upgrade & patching as Sybase and PostgreSql DBA.
• Application DBA Exposure.
• Sybase ASE 15.x/PostgreSQL 12.x and above database administration experience.
• Knowledge in Replication, Clustering in Sybase/PostgreSQL 12.x and above.
• Exposure to new features of current ASE /PostgreSQL version.
• Development support/ debugging BAU issues.
• OS level activities related to database tasks.
