Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an experienced SQL Server and PostgreSQL DBA to manage enterprise database environments across Windows and Linux. You will ensure availability, performance, security, backup and recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery, while supporting production systems and automation.

The role requires hands-on experience with AlwaysOn, clustering, replication, and tuning, plus scripting with PowerShell, Shell, SQL, or Ansible to automate routine tasks and respond to incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience administering Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) and PostgreSQL (12/13/14/15/16).
• Strong knowledge of AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Clustering, Replication, Backup & Recovery, and Performance Tuning.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
• Manage database backup, recovery, upgrades, patching, replication, and high availability solutions.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, capacity, and security.
